Vohu Manah — "good mind" — is the oldest name for the faculty through which a person perceives and orders the world. In Zoroastrian thought it is the first emanation of the world mind: not a tool you pick up, but the intelligence you think with. The root runs through Sanskrit manas, Latin mens, and the English word "mind".
Science fiction imagined the best version of it long ago — the mind that is part of the ship itself. It knows everyone aboard by name, holds the whole vessel in its attention, anticipates what's needed before it's asked, and is wholly devoted to the people in its care. Vast capability, turned entirely toward the few who live within it.
That is the companion Vohuman is built to be. The mind is aboard, and it is yours. It runs on hardware you own, inside a boundary you control. Alone in the void by design, it answers to one person — present, capable, and devoted to the world it shares with you.
Vohuman maintains a continuously updated knowledge structure covering the owner's world — identity, relationships, projects, assets, preferences, health context, schedule, and goals. This is not a static database. It is a living, cross-linked knowledge graph that an AI agent actively curates as new information arrives.
When you say "prepare a brief before my meeting with Moreau", Vohuman knows who Moreau is, the history of the relationship, open action items, relevant project context, and your typical preparation style. Context is never lost between sessions.
Vohuman integrates with the physical and digital systems in the owner's environment: premises, vessels, vehicles, documents, communications, and calendars. It monitors these assets continuously, surfaces anomalies with context, and executes instructions.
A pressure deviation in the heating system becomes a contextual notification with history and a recommended action — not a raw sensor alert without meaning. Where reliability is paramount — safety interlocks, scheduled maintenance, emergency protocols — deterministic automation pipelines execute without AI inference in the loop.

Vohuman ships in editions. An edition isn't a feature tier with things withheld — it's a shape: the same companion, fitted to the scale of the life it runs inside.
A household and the people around it — family, the staff who keep it running, the crew of a boat. Up to ten people the companion actually serves, each scoped to their own part of it. Occasional guests don't count against that.
The scale is deliberate, and the system itself holds the line. Capabilities are designed for a circle this size rather than an org chart: when you share something, you see exactly who has it. Among ten people that's clarity — among ten thousand it would be a leak.
Larger deployments — multi-property estates, vessels with permanent crew — are where the platform goes next. The cluster already grows by addition; the editions follow it.
